Beyond Academics
Benchill School firmly believes in the total development of the child. It is the school’s mission ‘to raise fine, well-rounded, well-educated, well-cultured, respectable, God-fearing ladies and gentlemen’ and we can only achieve that in an environment that is rich in activities outside the classroom. Activities that help children develop excellent social skills, good technical and ‘hands-on’ skills as well as a strong sense of community is best achieved through co-curricular activities which go ‘beyond academics’.
There are clubs in the school and all students are required to belong to at least two clubs – one academic club and one community service club. Sports and music are compulsory after-school activities for all students. However, parents who would like their children to receive expert professional tuition on musical instruments have to enroll their children in the school’s music academy – additional charge may apply.
Words cannot express the thanks that my family has for each and every Benchill teacher and staff person that has been a part of our family for almost nine years.
As a parent, I entrust my greatest blessing to the staff at Benchill every day, and I am grateful for the loving care and guidance he receives. The teachers and director look at each child as an individual, with their own strengths and needs.
